Branding & Marketing

Brand Strategy & Marketing Built to Be Recognised, Trusted & Remembered

AuthorsAxis builds brands and runs marketing for authors, publishers, and small businesses who want more than a logo file. We start with strategy — who you are, who you serve, why you are different — then design a full identity system, package the assets you actually need, and run campaigns that reach the right audience without overspending. No inflated reach. No vanity metrics. No brand guidelines that sit in a PDF nobody opens.

Each project below is a concept demonstration of our approach, unless explicitly marked as a client project with verified details.

Announcement, pre-order, launch week, and post-launch sequence — with social creative, email assets, and ad copy designed to make the book feel inevitable rather than just available.

Campaign strategy · Social creative · Email · Ad copy

Concept

A distinctive identity for a consultant or creator — designed to work across LinkedIn, keynote slides, a personal website, and a podcast. Built around the person, not a generic template.

The Full Journey

From Brand Discovery to Campaigns That Reach the Right People

A brand is not a logo, and marketing is not a post schedule. A good brand is a clear positioning, a distinctive identity, a set of assets your team can actually use, and a marketing rhythm that reaches the right audience with the right message. Skipping the strategy is how brands end up pretty but forgettable. Skipping the assets is how teams waste time recreating the same thing every week.

Some clients arrive with a clear sense of who they are and need the identity built. Some arrive with a logo they outgrew and a sense that everything looks slightly disconnected. Some arrive needing campaigns that actually reach an audience — not just look good on a portfolio. Wherever you are, we map the path forward and are clear about what each phase involves before any work begins.

01 Brand discovery
02 Positioning & strategy
03 Identity design
04 Assets & system
05 Launch & campaign
06 Ongoing marketing

You can join the process at any stage. The roadmap, the deliverables, and the marketing cadence are always agreed with you in writing before work begins.

What Our Branding & Marketing Services Include

Brand Strategy, Visual Identity, Marketing & Ongoing Support

Every engagement is scoped individually. Most branding and marketing projects combine several of the eight services below — from the initial brand strategy through to ongoing campaign management.

01

Brand Strategy & Positioning

Before any design, we define who you are, who you serve, why you are different, and how you should sound. The output is a positioning statement, an audience profile, and a messaging framework — not a mood board that ignores the market.

02

Logo & Visual Identity Design

A full identity system — logo, colour palette, typography, and the rules that hold them together. Delivered with the source files, formats, and guidelines your team needs to use it consistently without asking us every time.

03

Brand Collateral & Templates

Everything your team actually uses — business cards, letterheads, email signatures, presentation templates, social templates, and one-sheets. Designed as a system so new assets can be created without a designer every time.

04

Website Brand Direction

Brand direction for your website — messaging hierarchy, visual direction, page structure, and the design decisions that make the site feel like a natural extension of your identity rather than a template with your logo dropped in.

05

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Planning

Channel strategy, campaign concepts, and content calendars built around realistic resources. We plan the campaigns worth running — not a chaotic content wheel that produces noise without direction.

06

Social Media Creative

Post design, carousel layouts, video covers, story templates, and ad creative — all built to fit your identity and function at real scroll speed. Not pixel-perfect portfolio pieces; actual social posts that perform.

07

Email & Newsletter Design

Newsletter templates, campaign emails, and automations designed to match your brand and work on real devices. We also write the copy when needed, so the email reads as well as it looks.

08

Ongoing Marketing Support

Rolling support for teams that need regular creative, campaign management, or a designer on retainer. Ideal for brands producing content consistently — a fraction of the cost of hiring in-house, without losing quality.

Each service can be engaged on its own or as part of a full branding and marketing programme. Scope, deliverables, and revision limits are always confirmed in writing before work begins.

Who We Work With

The Brands & Campaigns We Build

We work across a wide range of brand types and campaign scopes, but every project is assessed individually. Some brands need a full rebrand; others need a refresh or a strong campaign. We will tell you honestly which category you are in.

01

Author & Personal Brands

Identities for authors, coaches, and consultants — designed to work across books, talks, newsletters, and websites.

02

Book & Product Launches

Campaign creative for launch week — announcement, pre-order, launch day, and post-launch content across social, email, and ads.

03

Small Business Rebrands

Full rebrands for established businesses — new positioning, new identity, updated collateral, and a website direction that fits.

04

Publishers & Editorial Brands

Editorial identities, cover systems, article templates, and newsletter design for publications and content-driven businesses.

05

E-commerce & D2C Brands

Product-led campaigns, seasonal creative, email flows, and social content for online stores — designed to move product.

06

Course Creators & Coaches

Brand and marketing systems for people selling knowledge — from identity and lead magnets to launch campaigns and content.

07

Professional Services

Brand identities and marketing for law, finance, health, and consulting firms — positioned with credibility and restraint.

08

Startups & New Ventures

First brand and launch campaign for early-stage founders — designed to be ready for customers, press, and investors without overspending.

Our Branding & Marketing Process

How We Discover, Design, Launch & Support Brands

Six clear stages. Each stage has an agreed deliverable, and each one begins only after the previous stage has been reviewed and approved by you.

01

Brand Discovery

We start with a structured conversation about your business, your audience, your competitors, and where you want to be in twelve months. We review what exists — logo, site, social, collateral — and flag what is actually working versus what only looks familiar. Nothing is quoted until this stage is done.

You receive: a written brand discovery summary
02

Positioning & Strategy

We define the positioning statement, the audience profile, the differentiation, and the messaging hierarchy. This is where we decide what the brand actually stands for — before a single pixel is designed. Skip this step and the design will be pretty but unanchored.

You receive: a positioning document and messaging framework
03

Visual Identity Design

Logo, colour, typography, and the visual rules that hold them together. Concepts are developed against the strategy — not against whatever happens to be trending. You see the identity applied to real contexts before anything is finalised.

You receive: approved identity concepts and a system spec
04

Assets & Applications

The identity is built out into the assets your team actually needs — templates, collateral, social kits, email layouts, and brand guidelines. Everything ships in editable formats with clear usage rules so the brand stays consistent after we hand over.

You receive: full asset kit, guidelines, and source files
05

Launch & Campaign

New brands need a launch moment; established brands need campaigns that keep reaching people. We design the launch creative, the content calendar, and the ad and email assets needed to actually get the brand in front of the right audience.

You receive: launch creative and a campaign rollout plan
06

Ongoing Marketing Support

Optional rolling support for teams who want ongoing creative, campaign management, and brand consistency. New assets are produced as needed, campaigns are iterated, and the brand stays visually and verbally aligned as the business grows.

You receive: documentation, brand kit, and optional ongoing support

We do not promise specific follower counts, engagement rates, or conversion lifts before we understand your brand, your market, and your audience. Any agency that does is guessing. We commit to strategy, craft, and iteration — the honest inputs.

Why Authors Choose AuthorsAxis

Why Clients Trust Us With Their Brand & Marketing

These are the working principles we hold ourselves to on every branding and marketing engagement.

01

Strategy before design — every time

We do not start with mood boards and Pinterest links. We start with who you are, who you serve, and why you are different. Design follows strategy. A logo without positioning is a decoration, not a brand.

02

Honest scoping — sometimes it is a refresh, not a rebrand

If your existing identity is 80% right and needs refinement rather than replacement, we will tell you. A full rebrand is expensive and disruptive; a targeted refresh often delivers more value at a fraction of the effort.

03

You own every file and the full asset kit

Source files, editable templates, and full brand guidelines are yours on delivery. No proprietary tools, no ongoing licence fees, no design held hostage. You can hand the brand to any designer, print shop, or developer at any time.

04

Assets your team will actually use

A brand is only as strong as its weakest application. We design templates and guidelines that real teams can use — not just a beautiful logo file and a PDF nobody opens. The brand stays consistent because it is easy to stay consistent.

05

Campaigns designed to reach, not just impress

Marketing creative is judged by how it performs, not only how it looks. We design for the platform, the audience, and the actual moment someone scrolls past — because a beautiful ad that nobody stops for is not doing its job.

06

Support after launch, not just a handover

Brands evolve. New products, new audiences, new campaigns. Optional support plans cover ongoing creative, campaign management, and brand consistency — or we hand everything over fully documented with no ongoing commitment.

We do not claim award counts, certifications, or client numbers on this page. Those belong in a conversation, not a headline — and you are welcome to ask about them directly.

Project Pricing

How Branding & Marketing Engagements Are Priced

Two branding projects are almost never the same, and we do not pretend otherwise. What a brand project costs depends on whether it is a new brand, a rebrand, or a refresh; how many assets you need; whether the identity includes a website direction; and how much ongoing campaign work you want. Marketing support is scoped separately based on the channels, cadence, and creative volume involved.

Rather than publishing a starting price that means nothing in practice, we quote every engagement individually after Discovery. You will always know what is included, what is not, and what the next phase will cost before you commit to it. If you are comparing quotes from other studios, we are happy to help you compare like-for-like scopes.

New brand, rebrand, or refresh A brand-new identity for a startup and a considered rebrand for an established business are very different projects. Both are worthwhile — they just involve different amounts of strategy, iteration, and rollout.
Scope of assets A logo-only project and a full identity system with templates, collateral, social kits, email layouts, and guidelines are different in scope and effort. Pricing reflects the number of assets and their complexity.
Campaign & channel work Launch campaigns, social content, email campaigns, and ad creative are each scoped individually based on the number of channels, the cadence, and the volume of creative required.
Ongoing support Rolling monthly support for teams that want regular creative, campaign management, or a designer on retainer is available as an add-on. No mandatory retainer, no lock-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Branding & Marketing — Common Questions

What is the difference between branding and marketing?

Branding is the foundation — who you are, what you stand for, and how you look and sound. Marketing is the activity on top of that foundation — campaigns, content, ads, and outreach designed to reach an audience. Strong branding without marketing means nobody knows you exist. Marketing without branding means you are spending money on a message nobody remembers. The two work best together, and we handle both.

Do I need a full rebrand, or would a refresh work?

Honestly, many businesses ask for a rebrand when a refresh would do. If your identity is fundamentally sound but the execution has drifted — inconsistent colours, outdated typography, a logo that no longer fits — a targeted refresh usually delivers more value for far less disruption. We will tell you honestly which case you are in during Discovery, and quote accordingly.

How long does a branding project take?

It depends on scope. A focused identity for a solo author might take a few weeks from Discovery to delivery. A full rebrand for an established business with multiple assets and a website direction typically takes a few months. We do not quote timelines before Discovery because the honest answer depends on the strategy work, the number of assets, and your review pace.

How much does branding cost?

Cost varies enormously — from a simple logo project to a full identity system with collateral, templates, and guidelines. Rather than publishing a misleading starting price, we quote every project individually after Discovery. You will always know what is included, what is not, and what the total is before you commit. We are happy to break down pricing into phases if that helps you plan.

What is included in a full brand identity?

Typically: a positioning statement, a logo suite (primary, secondary, mark, monochrome versions), a colour palette with hex and print values, typography specifications, and brand guidelines covering usage. Asset packages often add business cards, letterheads, presentation templates, social templates, and email signatures — depending on what your team actually uses.

Who owns the logo and the brand files?

You do — completely. Full copyright and all source files transfer to you on final payment. We deliver editable vector files, print-ready PDFs, web-optimised formats, and the source files for any templates. There is no licence fee, no ongoing restriction, and no lock-in.

Can you work with the brand I already have?

Yes. Many of our engagements are extensions of an existing brand — building new campaign creative, templates, or assets that fit what you already have. If the existing identity has gaps or inconsistencies, we will flag them during Discovery and propose a plan — but we will not force a rebrand if one is not needed.

What does marketing support actually cover?

Marketing support can include campaign strategy, social media creative, email design and copy, ad creative, content calendars, and launch planning. We do not run ad accounts on your behalf in the same way an ads agency does — but we design the creative and campaign assets that make ads perform. If you need full media management, we can recommend partners.

Do you guarantee follower growth or engagement?

No. Nobody legitimately can. Follower growth and engagement depend on your audience, your content, your consistency, the platform algorithm, and factors outside any designer's control. Any agency guaranteeing follower numbers or engagement rates is misleading you. We commit to strong strategy, thoughtful creative, and iteration — the honest inputs.

Can you design a website as part of the branding?

Yes. We offer brand-aligned website direction — messaging hierarchy, visual direction, page structure, and the design decisions that make the site feel like a natural extension of your identity. Full website development is a separate service; we can either design the direction for your developer or deliver the site ourselves through our web design service.

How many logo concepts will I see?

Typically we present two or three initial directions, each with a rationale tied to the strategy — not just three variations of the same idea. Once you choose a direction, we refine it through agreed revision rounds. The exact number of concepts and revisions is confirmed in writing at the start so there are no surprises.

Do you work with clients in other countries?

Yes. We work with clients remotely across multiple time zones. Everything is handled over email, shared documents, and video calls as needed. Most brand and marketing engagements run smoothly asynchronously — with scheduled review points rather than constant meetings.

Do you require long-term contracts?

No. Branding projects are fixed-scope engagements — you pay for the work, and you own everything on delivery. Ongoing marketing support afterwards is optional, on rolling monthly terms. There is no mandatory twelve-month retainer and no exit clause you have to negotiate.

How do we get started?

Fill in the inquiry form below with a short description of your brand or marketing project — what you are trying to build, where you are now, and what success looks like. We will reply with an initial assessment and, if it looks like a good fit, schedule a Discovery call. Nothing is quoted until we understand the scope, and there is no obligation to proceed after that conversation.
